GW’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development provides confidential, low-cost counseling and referral services and clinical screenings to community members and students in the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. The centers are clinical training facilities for graduate-level students, working under faculty supervision. Learn more about the CCSC >
The center provides services at two convenient locations: the Alexandria Campus and the Foggy Bottom Campus, both accessible by metro.

Student Counselors
All counseling is provided by students enrolled in one of GW’s counseling programs under staff supervision.
Sessions Recorded
We require all sessions to be video recorded. Sessions will be reviewed by students’ supervisors to ensure quality service and enhance student counseling skills.
Low Cost
The CCSC uses a sliding scale, from $10.00 to $40.00 per session.
